A1. Human resource management is a crucial department and function in any business organization as it deals in the management and allocation of one of the most complex resources in any organization - the workforce.

Therefore, there has to be defined roles, responsibilities and work between managers of the various department to efficiently utilize the human resource of the company

For this purpose, most of the lead revenue consuming departments such as finance, customer services are dealt with by the staff managers and their responsibilities lie in utilizing the available resources for the effective execution of the company's policies in these departments.

Line managers, on the other hand, deal with the activities that lead to the production of outputs such as products and services in any company. Therefore, their line of duty relies on managing the workers, their skills, effective usage of resources to complete the work in the given time to provide maximum output and higher efficiency to the company.
