Moral choices should be based on moral codes. In our moral choice moral theories are not always applicable as moral theory is a vast subject and we are not able to follow it always. Moral codes are very common and it is applicable in every step of life. Moral codes include our judgement of right and wrong. It says what we should follow and how we should conduct with others.
Moral theories are the detail and deep explanation of the moral codes. With social interactions moral codes are imparted to us. Some moral codes are imparted spontaneously and some are imparted with our teaching and environmental stimuli. With moral codes man can realize and differentiate between good and evils. Therefore moral codes help to build our character. Our moral choice is basically originated from moral codes and these moral choices are explained with moral theories.
Our moral choice is a mixture of moral codes and moral theories. The moral codes makes us aware the evil activities lead us to good works like how to behave with others, why we should follow the good advices, why we should love others, why we should not cheat with others etc. On the other hand, moral theories help to build our moral principles. Without principles we can not lead good life. Our personality also depends on our principles.
