In compound F

CH3-CH2-OH + H2O =

CH3-CH2-OH acts as base and H2O acts as acid because -CH2-CH3 will be having +I effect therefore it will donoate electrons to O so oxygen will be rich in electrons and can donate it as such it is having lone pair of electrons too.

H2O has H+ and OH- ions therefore the electron pair donated by O will be taken up by H+ ions of H2O.

In compound I

CH3-NH2 + H2O =

As such CH3 have +I effect and nitrogen has lone pair of electron therefore it will act as base and will donate lone pair to H+ ions of water.
