A person is surrounded by many agents of socialization, combined effort of which ultimately shapes a person. Agents like family, peers, school, work, religion, culture, media etc. are the most important socialization agents.

Peers are important in my socialization as a child. They helped me to understand the life without directions from elders. Behaviour towards peers is free of interference and acceptance among peer groups played an important role in shaping socially acceptable behaviour. Playing, fighting, trying new activities, performing mischievous activities etc. helps to develop memories and understanding society. They had a huge influence in shaping my attitude towards life and society. Facing bullying and being ignored by peers also shapes the attitude of many. It hampers the ability to socialize properly and develop a positive attitude. Neglecting a few incidents of bullying, I didn't face much in my childhood which helped me in becoming a friendly person who can mingle easily in social events.

It is necessary to be cautious in selecting our peer group as it shapes our life.
