Fascicles are the type of muscle arrangement that runs parallel to the longitudinal axis of the muscle.

It becomes important to note that all skeletal muscles are made up of fascicles. Also, fascicles are present in a lot of types of arrangements and their combinations, some of them are circular, convergent and parallel. The one that is asked in the question is when fascicles run parallel to the long axis. They are at times kept in a separate class of muscles which is called fusiform.
