Answer #1

molar mass of MgSO4.7H2O = 246.5 g/mol
number of mol of MgSO4.7H2O = (mass of MgSO4.7H2O)(molar mass of MgSO4.7H2O)
= 51.8/246.5
= 0.210 mol

1 mol of MgSO4.7H2O give 1 mol of MgSO4
0.210 mol of MgSO4.7H2O give 0.210 mol of MgSO4
so,
number of mol of MgSO4 = 0.210 mol

molar mass of MgSO4 = 120.4 g/mol
mass of MgSO4 = (number of mol of MgSO4)*(molar mass of MgSO4)
= 0.210*120.4
= 25.2 g/mol

Answer: 25.2 g
