Population: Our hypothesis discuss about a group of people, that group of people is called population. From this population, we collect sample. Our results in research will be generalized to this group of people.

In the given survey, 200 students participating in the survey. Those 200 students called the sample. Amy's findings in that research will be generalized to young adults. Those young adults are called population.
