The pelvic girdle connects the upper body with the lower limbs. The pelvic girdle is composed of three bones called ilium, ischium and pubis. The ilium is broad surface of the girdle. The ischium is the lower flat structure and pelvis forms the ring like structure. The lumber vertebrae continue with sacrum and coccyx or tail bone are held by the pelvic girdle.
