The wall thickness is 240mm, the centreline method is used to find the quantity of brick work for walls.

length of wall in widthwise of plan in metre, = 2 x (3+3+3) =18m

length of wall lengthwise of plan (short)= 3 x 8 = 24m

length of wall lengthwise (long) = 8+2 =10m

total length of wall = 18+24 +10 = 52 m

volume of wall = l x d xh

depth = 240mm =0.24m

height = 3.3 m

volume of wall = 52 x 0.24 x 3.3 = 41.184 m3

deductions

volume of doors M1 = 2 X (1.1x0.24x2.4) = 1.2672 m3

volume of doors M2 = 1x (1.2x 0.24x2.4) = 0.6912 m3

volume of window C1 = 3x(1.5x0.24x1.5) = 1.62m3

volume of window C2 = 1x(1.8x0.24x1.5) =0.648m3

voiume of concrete lintel above doors and windows =0.7488m3

total deductions = 1.2672+0.6912+1.62+0.648+0.7488 = 4.9752 m3

total quantity of wall requried = 41.184 - 4.9752 = 36.2088m3

using standard brick of size 19 x 9 x 9 mm

volume of one brick = 0.19 x0.09x.09 = 0.001539 m3

the total quantity of brick for both exterior and interior walls of size 19 x 9 x9 mm in numbers are
