Answer #1

2) Internal sources of job recruitment have the following pros and cons:

Benefits of internal sources:

It is less costly because the firms don't have to start the process of recruitment from start and this can save the costs of advertising, number of rounds of recruitment and other costs.

It is more reliable given that the workers are already a part of the organisation and the skills ,the working ethics etc of the person is known to the company.

It is quicker as the worker or the employee doesn't need time to adjust to the environment. They have already being introduced to the working environment, terms and conditions etc.

The employees would have an incentive to work hard and get to higher positions which would imply an increase in productivity of the firm

The disadvantages of the internal source of recruitment are :

There would be no new recruitment which could stop the better ideas from flowing in the company.

Another disadvantage is that the company needs to train the people from internal recruitment which might not be a good idea if they could employee the person from external source with the skillsets and experience.

Also in internal recruitment, the options are limited. The given employees may or may not have the required experience and then this could affect the productivity and efficiency of the work.

Also if such decisions are taken, the other employees may be discouraged and this could impact the working conditions and the productivity of whole workforce.

Also the internal recruitment could be biased at times which could impact the working conditions.

If the external recruitment is done through internet, following are the advantages and disadvantages:

Advantages of external recruitment:

The recruitment through internet would be cheaper and faster as compared to traditional modes of advertising.

Also it would lead to entry of newer ideas and new blood into the Company. Young and passionate individuals could increase productivity with better use of technology , different perspectives etc.

Morever there could be fairness as the internal recruitment might be biased. So here there are less chances of biasedness

The firm can have greater options to choose from. The pool of skilled and experienced people would be higher outside the company and this would lead to an efficient selection which could positively impact the profits of the company.

The disadvantages of external sources of recruitment through internet are

The credibility is not established as the internet may have fake accounts or issues which could increase the costs of the company.

Since the person is unknown to the firm, there are higher chances of wrong selection which could impact the efficiency of the firm.

The recruitment process could be time consuming and the end result might not always be efficient ie the candidate with best skill set may not be selected. This means higher costs to the firms.

Also the training, environment adaptability etc would be higher in such case and this might lead to reduced productivity. New candidates would take time to settle in new working conditions which would delay the productivity.
