Case study is a deep research method involving detailed examination of the subject known as case. Let's take the case study of coco cola & it's effect on nature & what measures are being taken to reduce it. This is very relatavre since coco cola is consumed by billions of people world wide. So this case study makes it more interesting & provokes my learning goal to acquire more knowledge.

One such case study was conducted in Brampton.

, Ontario, one of it's largest branch in North America. The idea is to integrate environmental sustainability by transforming it's manufacturing to reduce carbon footprint, water usage & material usage.

Social & environmental risks are one of the important risk categories. 1.) Energy conservation- the goal is to reduce overall carbon footprint by 15% by 2020 as compared to 2007 baseline. The Brampton operation converted to an energy efficient lighting system that uses 50% less energy & gives 50% more energy. These devices activates light & adjusts cooling based on the use, leading to increased energy efficiency by 35%. Also 37 heavy duty hybrid delivery trucks & tractors were introduced to the Canadian fleet in 2008-2009. These vehicles improved fuel consumption & reduced emissions when stopped in traffic.

2.) Water usage- the goal is to establish water sustainable operation to minimise the water use & have a water -neutral impact on the local communities by safely returning the amount of water used in the beverages to local communities & environment. A 20% water reduction was achieved along with efficiency ratio of 1.62 litres in 2005& 2007. It also implemented recycle & reclaim water loops through the plant membrane water treatment system & installed a new osmotic water recovery. This resulted in saving of approximately 28 million litres of water annually.

3.) Sustainable packaging & recycling- Dasani PET bottle weight was reduced by 30% saving 493 metric tons of PET. Plastic twist off closures were designed 24% lighter saving 235 metric tons of resin. The team also implemented centralised recycling initiative that captures broken damaged or expired product packaging from satellite facilities to be baled & sold to an industrial recycler.

Hence by this operation we can conclude that respecting the finite nature of earth's water & other resources can implement innovative business practices & contributing to the sustainability of communities while meeting the expectations of it's stake holders.
