Answer #1

1. DNA is deoxyribose nucleic acid made up of deoxyribose (a Penrose sugar), phosphate, nitrogen bases( A,T,G,C).

DNA is a double stranded structure which is joined together by hydrogen bonds. Adenine binds with thymine by double hydrogen bond and guanine binds to cysteine by triple hydrogen bond.

These nucleotides are arranged in a specific sequence determining the genetic code of humans.

Changes in a single positioning of nucleotide can lead to fatal diseases (point mutation).

2 . Hydrolysis- the answer is ALL OF THE ABOVE

Hydrolysis is a part catabolism. Catabolism leads to release of energy. The covalent bonds of the water molecule breaks and the presence of water is necessary in the cell.
