The chip takes those instructions and begins to move and process data through the motherboard in the correct order to its next designated location. II Four steps of computer machine cycle are: Fetch - to retrieve an instruction from memory. The control unit requests instructions from the main memory that is stored at a particular memory location. Decode - It means to translate the received instructions into a series of computer commands. Execute - It refers to execute the computer commands. As soon as instructions have been completely executed, restarts the machine cycle is reset so that the fetch step is started again. Store - It means to send and write the results back in memory.
