Draw a network topology of your proposed design using Cisco equipment. The access-layer switches must support 1Gbps to each user’s desktop computer and have10Gbps uplink capability. Specify in the drawing

(i) the model number of each Cisco equipment used,

(ii) the part number of 10 Gbps transceivers used,

(iii) the type of cabling used for connecting the users’ computers ,

(iv) the type of cabling for interconnecting the network equipment, and (v) the location where each network equipment will be placed.

For Switches : Cisco Catalyst 3850 Series (3850-24XU) can be used to connect the LAN machines on each floor.

For Router : Cisco 4-Port High-Density Gigabit or 1-Port 10 Gigabit Ethernet WAN Service Module (SM-X-4X1G-1X10G)

The configuration of the network is mentioned below:

Use Cisco SFP-10G-LR-S Module 10GBase as the transceiver.

For connecting cables Cat 6A or Cat 7 Ethernet cables should be used to support gigabit speed.

The Computers at each floow should be connected in Bus topology to the switched placed at their floors.

Each floor have a different switch and each switch is connected to the router.

The router in turn is connected to the outer WAN network (aka Internet).

Router : The can be anywhere in the building where the cable from the ISP is installed.

Switch : Each of the four switchs will be placed at each floor.
