I ned some clues to solve this question from my CIS course:
Hospital Management System
Overview
As the systems analyst hired by a local hospital, you have been asked to analyze the procedures used in both the Emergency room of the hospital, as well as the general admissions desk at this same facility
Findings
During your analysis, you have found that there are many similarities between the admittance desk and the emergency room admittance functions and data requirements. The only real difference is that emergency medical attention may be needed when a patient is admitted into the emergency room and that if the emergency-room admitted patient has no insurance, different arrangements must be made for the patient to pay for their treatment, or if other financial requirements are needed.
Your Job
As the systems analyst with these findings, you are now responsible to:
1. List all data stores that will keep track of the following data to support the automation of this system:
• Patient personal information
• Patient health condition information
• Physician orders for treatment
• Payment details (how will the hospital be paid)
2. Create a Context Diagram showing how Admittance, Patient Diagnosis and Payment will be processed (high level) by the hospital
3. Create a Data Flow Diagram (DFD 0) that shows the external data stores which will keep track of everything in #1 above, and how this data will get into the processes/functions as described in the FDD.
1. Data Stores
2. Context Diagram
3. DFD
Below is the list of Data/Info that is shown flowing in the above DFD.
Explanation for :-
FDD is the diagram which defines a module at functional level. It shows/describes all the functions/sub-functions of a given module. For example, the FDD for LABORATORY module will show functions :-
The question asks about the data that will be used in FDD; not an actual FDD.
