The first class of levers are the most common of the three wherein the resistance and efforts are on the opposing sides of the fulcrum whereas load is below and effort is up. example: Forks catpults.

Unlike the first class levers, second class has the resistance and efforts on one side of the fulcrum which is the longer arm. The load is between the effort and fulcrum. Example: wheelbarrows.

Like in the 2nd class, third class also has the effort and resistance on the same side of the fulcrum but herein the effort arm is smaller unlike class II. Here, the sequence is fulcrum on one end, effort in middle and the load on the other end. Example: fishing rod
