You are working on a project to implement an online benefits management portal to enable employees to have a “one stop” location to view their health and dental benefits, get answers to benefits-related questions, and enable for changes to be made to health benefit coverage. Requirements were gathered over a two-week time period at the start of the project and all stakeholders participated in requirements gathering sessions. The project is near completion – the portal has been developed by the IT/Application Development group. It has been tested, works well and will be rolled out early next week. You are approached by a member of the senior leadership team who suggests that it would be of value to add in a component so that employees can also manage their 401Ks. In fact, he wants this to happen in time for this roll out.

Keeping the project triple constraints in mind, elaborate on the effects of adding extra components to the portal by your Senior Leaders.

Effects can be:

1) Difficult to manage:

If we add one more component at the website,i.e., 401 Ks( which is related to taxes), the work will be cumbersome on the site and it'll become diffict to manage all the data of all the employees working over there. Thus it may create chaos while collecting and posting the data.

Moreover, the data may not be correct or verifiable in such situation. This will create an unorderly dissatisfaction for employees.

2)Improvement in performance:

In the point employees will be more efficient towards their work. This will lead to improvement in employees performance. More and more output will be coming out from the employees. 401 ks will motivate employees to work more and produce good output for their organisation. Growth of the organisation will lead to increase in employees income. if employee will performance well direcly or indirectly it will be beneficial for himself.

3) Ease to Employees:

The website will provide a common plateform for employees to manage all the data related to them, whether it's related to health or finance(410 Ks). So, the employees will be put to ease and their time and efforts will be saved which will automatically lead to growth of the organisation because if time and efforts of the employees are saved in that area than they can put more effort and put extra time in their job which will lead to development of the employees and growth of the organisation.

4) Less Employee turnover:

This point will have a great impact on the organisation as well as on the employees working in the organisation. If proper care of health and tax will be taken of employees than they will not take unnecessary leaves from the organisation. They will not be taking leave for their health issues as well as tax issues. No appointments will be there for Doctors and CA's as the organisation itself taking care of it.
