Thank you for the question.

We could have any number of variables, here is what I would choose:

1) The knowledge and experience subject has of a barrier contraceptive

2) The knowledge and experience subject has of a non-barrier contraceptive

3) The percentage of subjects who know about both the terms

These three are variables as we could not predetermine the values that we would ascribe to them before actually conducting the research experiment.
