Tympanic membrane (b) Middle ear 7 Auditory ossicles : -malleus, incus, stapes Eustachian tube (C) Inner ear o cochlea H vestibule semicircular canal 2. Pinna (Auricle) - It is made up of single piece of yellow elastic cartilage except for lobule which does not contain Cartilage- - Elastic cartilage is covered skin.

3. → Sound Signal in the environment - collected by Pinna Passes through external auditory canal Strikes the tympanic membrane vibrations pass through the assicles Transmitted to stopes footplate Stopes footplate causes movement of Perilymph in scala Vestibuli and scala tympani via helicotrema This causes movement in basilar membrane Stimulates the hair cells of Organg Grti collo acts as transducers and convert mechanical energy into electrical energy This electric impulse Passes to auditory Nerve Traverse the auditory Pathway Auditory cortex
