The correct option is (B) ,structural integrity

The purpose of providing cutoff bar is to bend the bars at tension zone to compression zone ,thus reducing the cost of bars at compression zone. But location of cutoff is very important ,as the SF and BM at cutoff point should be within permissible limits.They are also extended into support upto certain point to provide Anchorage.

But cutoff bars,never provides stability in the stucture
