1- Think about all the things you applied to your body today to manipulate smell: toothpaste, mouthwash, shampoo, body wash, cologne/perfume, deodorant, hair gel, fabric softener used on your clothing, gum, breath mints, lotion...etc. Now that we are not going to physical classes, did you notice a change in your habits that are related to smell manipulation which you did when you were going to class or work. After identifying and naming your "smell manipulation list"  Compare and contrast how the change in the environmental context (being at home or going to class) have impacted your daily routine when it comes to smell manipulation.

2- Similar to number 1 above, think about previous or even current communication with others, think about your and the nonverbal communication of others, especially those not from your native culture. What about your and their eye contact, touch and spatial patterns, smell and voice? Try to explain and discuss these differences culturally (this may help you in your reelection, if you decided to do one about this chapter).

3- Read Student Voices on page 274 in the book "Proxemics and Personal Space in England". Do you find what Anna talks about different from what you do here? How is this different from the U.S? Did you expect such cultural differences in these areas to exist between the UK and the U.S.?

There is a war going on in the whole world. Whole world is fighting against a common enemy. This is even more worse than the WW1 and WW2. Cornona has brought whole world on its knees. It has altered the life completely. Public space, which used to be "the space" are desserted.

With this change, came the changes in our habit. In many ways we can feel the change. However if I look at your first question and try understand things in that perspective this new work from home /isolation etc have not changed these habits of mine. On a contrary I have become more concerned. Earlier I used to brush my teeth only twice a day but now I brush thrice. Similarly I have also started taking good care of my skin. I am using various types of lotion on my hairs and face.

So the point which I want to mention here is that, yes it has brought changes, but these changes for me are positive. Earlier i used to get very less time to pamper myself. In the environment in which we are living today, it demands much from us. We are busy fulfilling our tasks and goals. In all this, we have forgotten ourselves. Now when everything is not well, life has become very slow and calm. And we are getting enough time to pamper ourselves.
