Answer #1

Create (if necessary) and share your personal disaster recovery procedure for your home computer.

DRP for a home user is different from a Bussiness organisation, the main difference is cost.DRP for a home user is usually lower. So my DRP for my home Computer would be as follows.

(1) As its my home computer,I would prioritize some digital assets like Tax Invoices, family photos than other data.As a home user in order to backup such data I would normally use free cloud data storage services like Google Drive,Dropbox which offer free storage quotas instead of a custom backup solutions, which are costlier.

(2) In case of data loss I would login into my account and download my lost data into a new computer.

Be sure to include what needs to be protected and why.

(3) I have particularly selected digital assets like Tax invoices and family photos because they very important data,if once lost they cannot be recovered from anywhere, while other data like music, movies can be downloaded from many other sources.

Also, include information about where your data backups are stored and how they can be retrieved.

(4)My data backups would be stored in cloud servers of Google Drive or Dropbox. In case of data loss I can simply login to my account and download all my data into the computer in minutes.

Does your DRP show that what you are doing to protect your assets is sufficient? Should any changes be made?

(5)As a home user,my DRP to protect my assets is sufficient and no changes are required to my existing DRP
