The “Me Too” movement took a rapid growth from 2017 due to social media like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. The “Me Too” was used to empower women and to fight against harassment that they have faced sexually. This term was first used in 2006 by Taran Burke who is an activist. This phrase is being used with a hashtag for more engagement of people over the social media. Through this “Me Too” Movement people wanted to create awareness of violence which a woman has to face in the society. It’s great to see now men who face the same situation as the women also are taking initiative to stand for themselves. This movement is being revolutionized all over the world.

Women are always seen as a weaker person my many people. According to some section of people they are not regarded as equal to man and are not being respected. Thinking that they are someone who does not want to bring down their image as a woman, they are sometimes used as an object and are seen as someone who would not take stand of themselves even if something wrong happens to them due to the prevalence of the patriarchal society. In the work place mainly women are not preferred due to many reason and these same women offered sexual favor if they want promotion. This is where the things go wrong. A woman can get promotion without favor. Even they are seen being more hard working and deserving then men.

The biases for choosing a men instead of women and stereotyping that a women cannot perform better than a man and women only can do delicate work and are meant for house hold chores are creating injustice in the workplace. Women are equally hard working and deserving as the men. There should not be any kind of baseness in the workplace in regard to gender, colour, religion, faith, etc. These things should be stopped. There would not be any kind of harassment and discrimination in the workplace and the negative attitudes regarding the gender should be stopped. It’s not about who is better, it’s more about the betterment of the society by equally participating. The movements like "MeToo" are really helping in encouraging women and awaring about the good and bad that is prevailing in the society and taking stand for what is wrong,
