Employers and colleges agree that American high school graduates are prepared for neither the workplace nor the college classroom. Have U.S. schools really dropped the ball this profoundly? If you were a prospective employer, what would you wish the public school system were doing differently?

The statement has some truth as US schools have not followed the same transformation as required by the businesses and corporations. It has made students, getting passed out from these schools, are not getting jobs as they are not considered suitable for the jobs on offer. This situation is also increased by the labor market conditions where firms are hiring those who are skilled as well as experienced to reduce the cost of recruitment and prevent failures.

While being a prospective employer, the wish will be that public school system should bring dynamism in their course curriculum that should be readied on the basis of industry requirements. It can be done with regular interaction between schools and industry, regular monitoring of the demand of skills required in industries and other similar trends. It will make these schools to produce graduates who are confident, with exposure via internships and own different types of employability skills. It will increase the rate of jobs offer to these graduates and school system will have better programs that are industry oriented.
