solving quadratic equations by extracting square roots.
(x-2/5)^2=49/25 is the problem i am having trouble with.
i did try to do it. i can't show the root sign to you with my computer
to show what i did.

Solve: {{{(x-2/5)^2 = 49/25}}} Extract the square root of both sides. {{{(x-2/5) = 7/5}}} or {{{(x-2/5) = -(7/5)}}} If {{{(x-2/5) = 7/5}}} Add {{{2/5}}} to both sides. {{{x = 9/5}}} or If {{{(x-2/5) = -(7/5)}}} Add {{{2/5}}} to both sides. {{{x = -(5/5)}}} so {{{x = -1}}} The solutions: {{{x = 9/5}}} {{{x = -1}}}
