Answer)
Technology by definition is the collect of the techniques, skills, methods, and processes which are used in the production of goods and services and in the accomplishment of objectives such as scientific investigation and making human life easier. There can be many definitions of many people about technology and each might have a different thinking.
Technology is a part of our daily life, As said about various things in the Society and Technological Change: The Nature of Technology that technologies involve control, have side effects to the environment and also to human and that also technologies can fail under various circumstances and that the design and the usage of the technologies are complex. Thus, when we say that technology is inherently equal or fair, I'd say yes. We choose technologies for our everyday tasks and making life easier. Thus, yes using technologies have been making our lives and communication more comfortable and make us more in control of the environment, also we can do many things at a time with the help of machines and technologies.
Technology, and its uses can surely not effect individuals equally, as some people might use less of technology, and other people might use more of it. Being dependent on technology more or less is the idea. If people are using technologies more, then the effect of the technologies will be more on them.
Technology cannot be gender specific, as technologies are common for everybody. You cannot gender a refrigerator or a washing machine, and specify that only a specific gender can use them, or it is meant for a specific gender only, thus, technologies cannot be gendered.
Yes, technology is always dependent on the society, as to how the government acts with a particular technology and considering the values of a particular time, what technologies are undertaken and what others are rejected. Technology has also influenced the history and human society, thus bringing revolutions in technologies and people's lives and society.
Information technology is at its peak and people are using smarter gadgets and technologies everyday. But are we really getting smarter by using technologies and smart devices and newer most modern gadgets? I think not. As devices such as usage of smartphones, laptops, tablets, computers and wearable devices are getting popular day by day and technologies such as IoT, cloud connectivity, AI is being used in devices and methodologies in technologies is improving, it's not necessarily to say that we are getting intelligent day by day. Much as calculations are no more done by the hand and by calculators, thus likely we have everything as a substitute of technology. We have designed each machine for our convenience, thus I think we have designed better, smarter and efficient machines which can get our job done, but in that way the things we used to do manually have been taken out. Nowadays exams are also being less thought off as technology has given us much less scope to brighten ourselves. Rather than being smarter, we are just making smarter machines everyday, well that's a way to say that in fact the machines we program are smarter than us and are getting smarter everyday as we move towards better, larger, more efficient, more powerful devices and technologies. Thus, yes I think as people are getting dumber over the time, as nobody of us can imagine a world without technologies, like it's a lifeline, for example imagine a day with your phone. Thus I think being over-dependent on technologies will prove fatal, and people are definitely being dumber day by day as technologies made by us are outsmarting us cleanly.
In a developed country people are more educated, advanced and the economy is far more developed. The country has got a better infrastructure and a stable and rising economy. IT is a services industry and the maximum revenue comes from the services industry and everything today involves the inclusion of IT and implementation of IT. Thus, IT is a leading factor in the rising economy for a country, if IT and related innovation in the field of computer science and IT develops then the country will flourish. Innovation in IT and technology thus advances the new services and products that contribute to the economy. Also, this makes the country more self-sufficient and also gives a competitive edge to these nations. IT and innovation also invite better jobs and research making the overall growth of the country and skilled labor generation, makes businesses and government more efficient and greater cost-effectiveness which means bolstered economies, which results in higher standards of living than the average developing countries.
If we are in a developing country, IT helps there as well. As for a developing country growth and momentum will be gained slowly bu tit cannot lie backward in respect to technology, implementation, and learning. Learning and IT and technology together bolster the economy and the people in it to make a steady growth towards development. Thus starting with the internet access and inclusion of IT in the government and private sectors and digitalization is a good start. Also, internet access in rural areas and utilizing technology thoroughly in urban areas, adapting to the technology and equal distribution of technology in the country will enable the growth of the country. Also, IT education and training, equal opportunities for all for IT and related work, access to current technology, and implementation of the technology will improve the economy at a steady pace.
