Nucleic acid: A complex organic substance present in living cells especially RNA or DNA whose molecules consists of many nucleotides linked in a long chain

Acellular:Protozoa consisting of one cell only

capsid:A capsid is a protein shell of virus.It consists of several oligomeric structural sub units made of protein called protomers

Envelope: The lipoprotein outer layer of some viruses derived from plasma membrane

and is complex of plasma membrane and cell wall

Nucleocapsid: The capsid of a virus with enclosed nucleic acid

Viruses are host specific

infect only one or few species of hosts

viruses are tissue specific means infect only one kind of host tissue

so that some viruses like retro viruses have quite limited host range and if not like some viruses like rhabodoviruses they infect a variety of cell types like human and animal and insect
