Answer #1

Resistivity of Aluminum = = 2.65 x 10-8m

Length of the wire = L = 37 m

Width of the wire = W = 1.2 cm = 1.2 x 10-2 m

Thickness of the wire = T = 3 mm = 3 x 10-3 m

Area of the wire = A

A = WT

A = (1.2x10-2)(3x10-3)

A = 3.6 x 10-5 m2

Resistance of the wire = R

R = 2.72 x 10-2

The resistance of the wire used = 2.72 x 10-2
