Today’s college bound students are a lot different than they were 20 years ago. The newer generation are mostly into social networking where they can find out the latest trends, hot gossip, gaining followers, or sharing a piece of their life. The (theme) objective of the contest is to attracting college bound juniors and seniors to do at least a 2-minute-long, music video or cypher or ad contest where they are showcasing what benefits they feel NSU business program can offer in a fun and creative way. In having the participants create a video we connect with today’s college bound students due to the growing popularity of apps like Musical.ly and Dubs mash. Apps like those connects with this generation by giving them creative freedom to create their own music to any song they enjoy. Choosing a theme of such nature will draw in our targeted audience by giving them relatable challenge. The purpose of this contest is to not only draw attention to NSU business program, but we look to engage with prospects students looking to apply to the university or gain new interest of those seeking a university to attend.

This is a good idea because college recruit team can increase their audience and participants when high school students look into the contest and follow their page. This decision would also improve the thinking of high school students when they would select their college after the high school. they are also newer and younger generation who likes to spend time on social media, posting funny videos etc so their participation and following would help create more popularity to NSU business program.
