You have been working with the Human Resources manager to organize a workshop to help reduce conflict management issues which have been on the rise lately. May workshop stuff: • Attendance not required, but hey, I didn’t want to be organizing this for nothing, and some people around here could really use a tip of two on getting along with others, am I right?! I've been talking Laura over in Personal, and she's had it up to here with staff complaints about other workers. I didn't get it: Can't they just get along for eight measly hours? • Sign up sheet is posted in the coffee room.

• Have to repeat workshop to accommodate everyone. Workshop content--conflict management skills--half day/three hours 9 am-noon. Leader is the same for both sessions (Sam Wong).

• Employees can claim/will be reimbursed for travel expenses (max: 28$) and lunch (up to twenty dollars).

• What else does staff have to do? Well, they have to trade shifts among themselves (I don't want to be involved with that); I can see which date they chose by looking at on the sign-up sheet, so they don't need to contact me at all. • No signup after deadline (DEADLINE = FRI May 1) so we can get the catering numbers right (for coffee, tea, muffins, …) • Can't have all staff at same workshop--have to sign up for one of two workshop dates: Wed May 6 or Thursday May seventh. May 6 location is Holiday Inn, room 201. MAY 7th location is Best Western, Room #102.

• Lieutenant Chris Wong is a retired HOSTAGE NEGOTIATOR who is an instructor at the BC Justice institute. Sam trains police and emergency service workers.

• They have to read workshop manual before attending; (pickup copies of Conflict Management Skills Manual at your office)

Dear Team,

It is happy to inform you all that we are planning to conduct a workshop on "Conflict Management Skills".Sam Wang, trainer of police and emergency service worker will be the leader for both the sessions. You may also see Lieutenant Chris Wong is a retired HOSTAGE NEGOTIATOR who is an instructor at the BC Justice institute along with him. The scheduled date this May 2020, Since we can't accommodate everyone at once, the sessions will be repeated for two days - May 6, 2020, Wed at Holiday Inn, room 201, and May 7, 2020, Thurs at Best Western, Room #102. The scheduled time for the session is 3 hours, 9 am-12 pm.

Even though Attendance is not mandatory, but we recommend everyone to attend the session by themself. Kindly arrange the shift adjustments by themselves according to the session you have signed up. You do not need to inform us, we will get the info from the signed up sheet. Sign up sheet is available in the Coffee room. The Deadline to sign up is May 1, 2020, as we have to get the total catering numbers for refreshments. Further, those who attend the session can claim for reimbursement for travelling allowance up to $28 and lunch for $20.

It is requested to read the Conflict Management Skill manuals before you attend the workshop. It is available at your office.
