We live in a dynamic world. We are subject to change. According to Darwin one needs to change himself to survive. Those who oppose the progress are called anti-progressive. They are not ready to accept change. The term progress can be applied in a broader sense and it means reformation or advancement or development or change.
In the field of science and technology, economy, social science, politics or religion this term is highly useful. In our society there are many harmful systems and customs that have been banned by the Government. Yet some people who cherish anti-progressive attitude oppose such reformation and abolition of the traditional backdated customs. Once there was social ban on the women education. The patriarchal society would not allow the women to take higher education. But now there is no bar. But still there are many elders who bear many prejudices against such progress of the women.
In the field of religion anti-progressive attitude is greatly visible. People like to be anti-progressive to establish themselves religious. They believe that in the field of religion progress is never possible. Such anti-progressive attitude is greatly seen in Islam. Many inhuman practices are still in use in Islam. Here women freedom is totally ignored. To them religious education is better than modern education. In Libya children are mainly taught Arabic instead of science or modern literature.
In the field of trade and commerce there is major role of both progressive and anti-progressive attitudes. Many progress steps are taken to develop business. The main source of income of a country is business. To attract the industrialists to a state many steps are taken. Terms and conditions are made flexible for the business. It paves the path of new employment and expansion of market. But the anti-progressive people always try to trouble this. They bear weak mentality. They do not have sufficient confidence to take broad decision. They have lack of wisdom.
In the field of economic reformation we also find the collision between progressive and anti-progressive people. Here people oppose for preserving individual gain. Tax system needs to be changed frequently. On the reformation in the economic field the prices of essential commodities depend. Naturally the life of the ordinary people greatly depends on the reformation of economic policies.
Besides we also find conflict between progressive attitude and anti-progressive attitude in the field of education. Our family life and personal life are also influenced by such attitudes. But it is universal truth that we need to be progressive.
