Diet is meant to be healthy diet only if it follows the characteristics which are given below.

1. Healthy diet should be low in processed food such as pizza, etc. It can be said that in modern foods, processed foods are seen enormously. Hence it is important to be conscious about what we eat.

2. It has to contain more of foods and vegetables.

3. Salt must be low along with saturated fat... saturated fat is very much harmfull fat which clogs the blood vessels ... unsaturated fat must be consumed for example olive oil

4. The proportion if protein , carbohydrate and fat must be balance. That is , protein more then comes the carbohydrate and then fat..

5. Fiber is an important source to healthy diet. It is much more important for proper digestion. For eg fruits , vegetables.

6. Omega 3 fatty acids are also important for example almonds.
