Ionic compunds form between non-metal and metal by a transforming a electron from metal to non-metal , whereas covalent compounds form between non-metal and non-metal by sharing electrons .

1) N2F4  = Covalent compound  since N and F are both non metal .

name = dinitrogen tetraflouride or Tetrafluorohydrazine

2) MgF2 = Ionic compound since Mg is metal and F is non metal.

name = Magnesium flouride

3) iron(II) nitrite = Ionic compound

Formula = Fe(NO2)2

4) silicon dioxide = Covalent compound  

Formula = SiO2
