Answer #1

42) The Precentral Gyrus is responsible for the programming for MOTOR movements. It is also called as the primary motor area.

43) The receptor for hearing and euilibrium rely on a very specialised type of receptors called a HAIR CELL.There are six groups of hair cells in each inner ear : one in each of the three semicircular canals, one in the utricle, one in the saccule and one in the cochlea.

44) The proper steps in the production of an auditory sensation are :

4, Sound waves arrive at the tympanic membrane

2, Movement of tympanic membrane causes displacement of auditory ossicles

6,movement of stapes at oval window establishes pressure waves in perilymph of vestibular duct

1,pressure waves distort basilar membrane on their way to round window of tympanic duct

5,vibration of basilar membrane causes vibration of hair cells against the tectorial membrane , resulting in hair cell stimulation and neurotransmitter release

3,the intensity of stimulation is relayed to CNS over cochlear branch of CN VIII

Option C (4,2,6,1,5,3) is the right answer.

45) Retinal is a chromatophore ( pigment containing cell) , a substance formed by the oxidation of VITAMIN A   on prolonged exposure of the eye to light.

46) Myopia is a term named for nearsightedness that develops in eyes that focus images in front of retina instead of on the retina, which results in blurred vision.By suing concave lens , the refractive error of the eye can be corrected and the distant objects can be clearly seen who wears it.So the option D (ALL OF THE ABOVE) is the right answer.

47) the sensory neurons of olfactory nerves can detect smell or any odor giving substances present in the air.Hence the option B Chemicals is the right answer, as chemicals are used to produce fragrances.

The right options have been underlined for a clear understanding.

Hope it is clear, if yes please do give a thumbs up...

Thanks.....
