Answer #1

Solution :

=> Answer :- P(4) = 0.15

we know that, for a discrete probability distribution; Σ P(x) = 1

hence from the given information ,

=> P(x = 3) + P(x = 4) + P(x = 5) + P(x = 6) = 1

=> 0.31 + P(x = 4) + 0.37 + 0.17 = 1

=> 0.85 + P(x = 4) = 1

=> P(x = 4) = 1 - 0.85

=> P(4) = 0.15
