K2Cr2O7 is an oxidising agent. Anisaldehyde undergoes oxidation in presence of K2Cr2O7 to corressponding carboxylic acid.

Anisaldehyde undergoes oxidtion to corressponding carboxylic acid in presence of Tollen's reagent i.e. Ag2O, NH4OH.
