Answer #1

1. DNA contains four bases.
Purines = Guanine and Adenine
Pyrimidines = Cytosine and Thymine
DNA does not contain Uracil.

2. Short lengths od DNA are wound around bundles of HISTONE CORE OCTAMER to create a structure consisting of many nucleosomes strung together by strings of DNA.
~200 bp DNA is wrapped twice around the histone core octamer composed of two copies of each H2A, H2B, H3, and H4 histones.
The linker DNA contains H1 histone.

3. Option C is correct
Vegetative cells are diploid
i.e. They contain two copies of genes.

4. An allele that is not expressed in heterozygous carriers is called a RECESSIVE allele.
A recessive allele is expressed only in the homozygous condition.

5. An individual who has the same genotype XN Xn for the night blindness is considered a CARRIER for night blindness.
Carrier = A person who contains the defective allele but does not exhibit the disease.
