Answer #1

There are three basic components of the vestibular system. This includes the bony labyrinth, semicircular canals and the labyrinth. The receptor organs include the utricle and the saccule along with the three semicircular canal. The bony labyrinth is the bony part which protects the internal ear. It belongs to the patrons bone. The rest of the parts are fluid filled canals. As, the body movement takes place, with kinetic and static positions, changes occur in the receptor cell leading to the generation of stimulus which presents as sense of equilibrium in the brain. With the movement, it provides the sense of position of head and body with respect to the trunk and surroundings. The acceleration and deceleration are well assessed providing spatial definition and better programming of neural circuits for body position sense.
