For each of the following kinds of laws pick at least one of the four grounds for justification- legal moralism, the harm principle, legal paternalism and the offense. The exercise is to see if you can connect the law to the (allegedly) justifying principle. For many laws more than one kind of justification is possible, so there can be more than one good answer for many of these. Laws of suicide, Laws of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol,    Laws on spitting on the sidewalk,    Laws against adultery, Laws against marriages between two people of the same sex , Laws that require people to have a license before they practice medicine.    PHL/320T - CRITICAL THINKING AND DECISION MAKING IN BUSINESS

answer-

1- legal moralism Ground is connected to the Laws on spitting on the sidewalk, Laws that require people to have a license before they practice medicine.

This is because Moralism shows the behavior and moral towards the law and following it. It is not moral to spit on the sidewalk and practice medicine without license.

2- the harm principle Gorund is connected to  Laws of driving under the influence of drugs and alcohol, Laws of suicide in which people can harm others if they drive under the influence of drugs and alcohol and harm themselves by suicide which is illegal.

3-  legal paternalism Ground is connected to the Laws against marriages between two people of the same sex because paternalism is the people in authority of restricting the freedom and responsibilities of these same sex people who wants to get married but they are restricting them with the law.
