Having read the passages in this unit, do you find yourself leaning in one direction of moral theorizing more than others? If so, which one(s)? Are you a consequentialist/utilitarian (Mill), always thinking about what might happen if you do this or that? Are you a deontologist (Kant), always making reference to a law, rule, or duty that must be abided by in one’s motivation to act one way or another? Are you a virtue ethicist, concerned primarily with the overall quality of character of a person?
I think I am a deontologist (kant) and i always prefer making reference to law ,rule,or a duty that must be abided by one. following rules and policies are morally good . i accept the fact that each one has its own thinking and has different perspective which may be conflicting at times but being a deontologist makes inner b sense feel somehow good of mine. i would even like to try the others ethics of moral but reading the passage i got that i am a kant.
If we talk about deontological ethics it is an action that considered morally good and it is good because of its characteristics of the the work itself, not because the product of the work is good . Deontological ethics grasp some acts are morally binding regardless of their importance for human welfare.
