What is the difference between activity variance and spending variance? I know spending variance is diff between Flexible and Actual, is activity variance same thing?

Activity variance

Activity variance is the difference between a revenue or cost item in the STATIC budget and the same item in the FLEXIBLE budget. Activity variance is solely due to the difference between the level of activity assumed in the budget and the actual level of activity in the flexible budget.

Spending variance

Spending variance is the variance between the actual and budgeted amount.
