Let A = Buying from Zara , therefore P(A) = 0.35

B = Buying from SEARS, therefore P(B) = 0.45

a) P(Buying from Zara and buying from SEARS ) =

Because A and B are mutually exclusive. So the probability of intersection of A and B is 0.

b) P(Buying from Zara or buying from SEARS ) =

c) P(Do not buy from Zara and do not buy from SEARS) = =  

d) Do not buy from Zara or do not buy from SEARS =

This is logical also. Because a person is do not buy from Zara means he or she is buying from the others and this is or probability so it must be equal to 1.
