Answer #1

Solution:

Given that,

n = 120

a ) =80% =0.80

1 - = 1 - 0.80 = 0.20

=   = 0.80

= ( 1 - ) / n

=   0.80 * 0.20 / 120

= 0.0365

= 0.0365

b )P(   0.75 )

= 1 - P (   0.75 )

= 1 - P ( -    / ) ( 0.75 - 0.80 / 0.0365 )

= 1 - P ( z -0.05 / 0.0365 )

= 1 - P ( z -1.37 )

Using z table

= 1 - 0.0853

= 0.9147

Probability = 0.9147
