From the balanced equation we can say that

4 mole of Fe requires 3 mole of O2 so

12 mole of Fe will require

= 12 mole of Fe *(3 mole of O2 / 4 mole of Fe)

= 9 mole of O2

But we have 15 mole of O2 which is in excess so O2 is an excess reactant and Fe is limiting reactant

Therefore, the limiting reactant is: Fe
