A data warehouse is required to be designed to meet the following three criteria; the data should be standardized, it should be time-variant, and it should be non-operational. Non-operational data criteria mean a data warehouse uses a copy of data from active databases that are used by a company in its daily operations; therefore, data from such databases must be pulled by the company on a regular and scheduled basis.
