John Locke an English philosopher and physician was born in 29th of August 1632, in a small cottage near the church in Wrington,Somerset, England. His enlightening thinking nature helped him to earn the title of "FATHER OF LIBERALISM". He worked for the development of epistemology and political philosophy. His writing's were such that they extremely affected American revolutionaries. His hard work for classical republicanism and liberal theory are shown as a result of United States Declaration of Independence.
Locke got education form Christ Church, Oxford. His father John was an attorney and served as the clerk to Justices of Peace in Chew Magna. He also served in the Parliamentarian force as a captain of cavalry in the early part of English Civil War. LockesL mother was called Agnes Keene.
At the age of 35 in search of career Locke moved to Shaftesbury's home in London and served as a personal physician for Lord Ashley's. In London he continued his medical studies under Thomas Sydenham was had major effect at Locke's natural philosophical thinking. Shaftesbury, founder of Whig movement, influenced Locke's political ideas. Shaftesbury's prompting made Locke composed bulk of the Two Treatises of Government.The work, now is viewed as more general argument for absolute Monarchy.
Locke moved to Netherlands in year 1683, due to strong suspicion of involvement at Rye House Plot. In Netherlands he again got the time to focus on his writing like essay and letters on toleration.
In 1703 he drowned in health due to the regular asthma attacks. He died on 28th October 1704. His final rituals were performed in the churchyard in the village High Laver, in Essex, where he lived since 1691. He was never married or got children.
