According to Marx, Sam belongs to the Proletariat group which is the working class group that has no control over production. Proletariats work for wages or salaries for the bourgeoisie class who control the capital, production and enjoy the profit. They make the proletariat and produce goods in which the proletariat has no power or ownership. They would continue to work for the capitalist class thus survive with minimum resources.
