What do you see as encouraging the populations based focus? Do you think that managerial epidemiology is being used for purposes other than risk control in today’s health care organizations?
Encouraging the population based focus is about educating the population and making them aware about the health care risks and treatment and also informing them about the health safety and prevention of spread of disease. It is being widely used by healthcare practitioners worldwide to educate and encourage the population about the needs of medical checkup and healthcare benefits.
Yes, in my opinion management epidemiology is being used for purposes other than risk control in today's health care organizations because medical epidemiology is used nowadays to implant fear in the population about the different diseases that they can encounter and informing them about the health care facilities available to cure diseases instead of using it for risk control and spreading awareness among population to prevent occurance of such diseases.
