The other group says that it should be stored as 4 equal-volumed cylinders each with a length of 15 m. Help them settle the argument by looking at the safety aspects. The safety consideration dictate that the surface temperature of the material should not exceed 310◦C, and the temperature anywhere in the material should not exceed 325◦C. Consider the material will be stored in a chamber where air at 20◦C flows around the material. The convection coefficient of air, irrespective of the chosen shape of the material, is on an average is 12 W/m2 · ◦C. What should be the correct choice of shape for the storage of this material?
