Discuss in 500 words your opinion on what you think of the disruptive capacity of the gig economy on the labor market
The introduction of the self - driving cars will disrupt the job market for drivers but not all of a sudden or over night it will have a slow effect over the jobs of the drivers . As the introduction of the self driving car doesn't means that there will be a bulk supply of these cars in the market and people will buy them over night . As its will be expensive in nature and everyone in the society or in the nation couldn't be able to buy them . As with the introduction of them in the market it will take up to 2 to 3 year for them to establish there business in the market till then the markets for drivers will not get effected and after 2 to 3 year it will start getting effected but slowly .
With the introduction of these kind of cars the truck drivers will get more effected than the bus and taxi drivers . As , in this situation of gig economy of labor force where there is no employment stability is the market . As at first it will not effect the labor market in a high rate means at the time of introduction it will not be effective , then after there increase in supply it will increase the threat of unemployment to the labor market as the drivers will get unemployed . And around 25000 a month and 300000 a year employees would be job less . The truck drivers will get effected to this because there are 4 million drivers in the U.S. out of which there are 3.1 million truck drivers . It will shake the other companies from inside out those who are not planning to introduce self driving cars .
So, the introduction of self driving cars will disrupt the job market for drivers in the long run .

Let’s think about the future. Self driving cars are already here; robotics proliferate in manufacturing. Artificial intelligence is coming. As each of these things is perfected and injected into society, the long-run aggregate supply curve will shift left. That’s fantastic because it means our potential is great. But the downside of the efficiencies is employment. But will employment move with it. If a firm can replace 1,000 employees with artificial intelligence it has increased its efficiency. Will we need truck...
